Achievements
Environmental and Energy-Saving Business Delegation to Guandong 2014
Based on the cooperation document between the Kansai Bureau of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI-Kansai) and the People’s Government of Nanhai District, a delegation consisting of seven companies and two organizations from the Kansai region was dispatched to Foshan city and Guangzhou city in Guangdong province, China.
1. We signed the cooperation document between METI-Kansai and the People’s Government of Nanhai District and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Team E-Kansai and the City and District Environmental Protective Industry Association. In addition, we held a meeting in order to exchange opinions and make technical presentations.
2. As the first collaborative project with the Guangdong Energy Conservation Association, we held the “Guangdong-Kansai Energy-Saving Technology Exchange Seminar” (hosted by the Guangdong Energy Conservation Association, the Japan-China Economic Association, and METI-Kansai), which was attended by approximately 160 concerned parties. At the seminar, we promoted the energy-saving technologies of Japanese companies.
3. In addition to the above-described activities, we exchanged opinions with relevant representatives from the municipal government and companies of Shunde district in Foshan city and also had an opportunity for technical exchanges with the South China Institute of Environmental Science, Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China.
4. During the period of the mission, approximately 63 business negotiations were held with local companies and two MOUs were singed between Japanese and Chinese companies.
