Water Business Mission to Vietnam, 2012

1. We sent a mission consisting of 17 Kansai water industry firms to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi in Vietnam.

2. In Ho Chi Minh City, the mission held technical presentations and participated in business negotiations with Vietnamese companies specializing in pharmaceuticals, waste management, auto parts production and other areas. The Kansai firms exchanged views and engaged in detailed talks with these local companies concerning the wide range of wastewater issues they face. They also attended a roundtable session with a food industry association and toured an industrial estate in Dong Nai Province just outside the city.

3. In Hanoi the mission participated in a bilateral roundtable session with a leather industry association. In addition, they prepared a Team E-Kansai booth in the JETRO Pavilion at Viet Water 2012, the country’s largest water industry trade exhibition. (A total of 971 business negotiations were conducted.)
